Senior Photo Editor, Corbis Sept. 2005 – Dec. 2007
Corbis is a stock photography industry leader with over 100 million images in its collection. In my position as Senior Photo Editor, I managed photographer and media partner relationships, and edited images for inclusion in the Corbis image distribution systems. I assisted image sources with digital workflow procedures using state-of-the-art digital asset management systems, and provided guidance for creation of successful imagery.
Collection management duties included reviewing large collections of existing images and adjusting rankings to enhance customer search experiences. I researched and identified several high-value image subjects and produced a guide detailing the common characteristics of client-preferred images. The resulting reports became a useful asset in establishing editing criteria for key subjects.

Studio Manager, Frans Lanting Photography Sept. 2003 – June 2005
Frans Lanting's images appear regularly in National Geographic magazine and other premier publications. As the Studio Manager for this company, I negotiated several contracts for image distribution, I implemented a digital program to transfer the largely film collection of images to a digital system, and I established a secure database and office network to manage the image assets.

General Manager, Alaska Stock Jan. 1990 – Aug 2003
I managed a stock photography agency from its inception to a business generating over $1 million in annual image licensing sales. I worked with major advertising agencies, publishers and corporations in image sales and marketing. I developed a network of international distribution agents, and was active in the stock photography industry.
- Digital Technology / On-Line Business
I executed the transition from a film-based business to a digital environment, providing the company with a strong competitive advantage and the ability to rapidly service clients with a wide array of tools.
As Technology Committee Chairman for the Picture Archive Counsel of America (PACA), I organized and participated in presentations and discussion groups for domestic and international photo industry professionals. I served as the industry contact for domestic and international stock agents and managed media partner relationships.
